The New Year Brings the Next Step to Adoption!
Now that our home study is completed, we move onto the next phase. Immigration paperwork & starting on our Dossier. The immigration paperwork takes about 90 days. We can't send off our Dossier to China until we receive our immigration paperwork. My goal is to have our immigration paperwork & Dossier completed within the 90 days.

Homestudy Complete
Wow, our goal to have our homestudy approved & completed by Thanksgiving has been a little stressful. Last minute paperwork, getting all the paperwork to match, etc. I have to say I am SO Relieved it's completed!!!!!
With all the hard work, we successfully completed our homestudy. So far everything we are on track.

Hello,
We are the Mattox family. Brian, Tonya, Shelby, Caitlin, Briley & Kaden.
Brian and I have been married for 10 years. Brian had 2 girls before we married and together we had Briley & Kaden. We have a beautiful family but felt God had bigger plans for our family! We thought our family was complete but God had other plans in mind. God started convicting our hearts for adoption. Not just adoption but specifically adopting from China. We prayed and prayed about the decision. We have stepped out on a leap of faith knowing that God will provide and will see us through this process. Our prayer is that God will get us to China as soon as possible to bring back our precious baby girl.
At first we were going to slowly start the adoption process as we didn't have the money. As many of you know the cost of international adoption is about $30,000.. Through much prayer, we couldn't wait. Once the reality set in that we have a baby girl who is waiting for us, we started the process immediately. So far, God has worked in different ways to allow us to make the payments needed. Money hasn't just been placed in our lap but God has provided.
