Great News! Our immigration paperwork has been approved!
Thankfully, we we're one step ahead and had almost all of our Dossier paperwork completed.
Now we wait for all our Dossier paperwork to be authenticated & wait for our passport to come back. Once these steps are completed, the next step is to send Dossier to China for them to approve us for adopting from China...
My prayer, please God have your hand in this adoption each step of the way. Please be with each individual who touches our paperwork. I pray you would not let the paperwork sit for long periods of time but allow your work to be done! Please be with our baby girl, keep her safe and meet her needs until we can get to her! Please give the orphanage care givers a true heart & passion for what they do as my babies safety & health is dependent on them. Thank you for giving us the strength & guidance to get us this far through the journey!
In you the orphan finds Mercy.

Today I've started planning my next "Big Fundraiser". I'm planning to do a 5K run along with some great friends who have volunteered to help. I need several more helpers to help out the day of the race. Also, I need sponsor's for water, bananas, door prizes, etc. Please pray that this will be successful! Spread the news to your friends. The goal is to have the 5K run Saturday March 10, 2012 at the Oktober Fest course. The run will be called One Less Orphan 5 K & Fun Run. Please pray that God will bless this run.

Seeking God's Will- From the book "Crazy Love"
Before we started our adoption process, I finished the book "Crazy Love" by Francis Chan. I loved this book. I really loved Chapter 6- Forget about his will for your life. For me, it hit the nail on the head. It would have been easy to let fear stop us from pursuing our adoption. It would have been easier to have said "What if we would have adopted". I'm glad we said "Yes Lord", we will seek your will. Rather the Holy Spirit is calling you to adopt or whatever it is, take time to listen and pray. Seek the calling for your life.
- Quoted from Crazy Love-
How many times have your heard someone say, "I just wish i knew God's will for my life'?
There are very few people in the scriptures who received their life plan from God in advance (or even a five-year plan). Consider Abraham, who was told to pack up his family and all his possessions and start walking. He didn't know where he was going. He didn't know if he would ever be back. God said Go and he went.
I think a lot of us need to forget about God's will for my life. God cares more about our response to His Spirit's leading today, in this moment, than about what we intend to do next year. In fact, the decisions we make next year will be profoundly affected by the degree to which we submit to the Spirit right now, in today's decisions.
It is easy to use the phrase "God's will for my life" as an excuse for inaction or even disobedience. It's much less demanding to think about God's will for your future than it is to ask Him what He wants you to do in the next 10 minutes. It's safer to commit to following Him someday instead of this day!
To be honest, I believe part of the desire to "know God's will for my life" is birthed in fear and results in paralysis. We are scared to make mistakes, so we fret over figuring out God's will. We forget that we were never promised a 24 hour plan of action; instead, God promises a multiple times in Scripture never to leave or forsake us.
God wants us to listen to His Spirit on a daily basis, throughout the day, as difficult and stretching moments arise, and in the midst of the mundane.
I challenge Christians to read this book!
